2011 Rath Yatra was held in Tokyo

Amidst ardent devotees, dignitaries and its members, OCJ celebrated Rath Yatra in Tokyo on July 3rd the same day that the famous festival was held in its original place Puri of the eastern Indian province of Odisha. Among several other dignitaries, His Excellency Mr. Alok Prasad (Ambassador of India to Japan), Mr. Ryuko Hira (Hon. President of Indian Chambers of Commerce Japan), Mr. Sanjay Panda (Deputy chief of Mission of Indian embassy), Mr. S Pradhan ( CEO - New India Assurance) had graced the occasion.

 

With our great sympathy to the affected people of 3/11 disasters, the event was celebrated in a closed proximity. After completing the traditional rituals associated with the Rath Yatra, the Maha Mritunjaya Mantra was chanted for the victims of the earthquake/ tsunami and the people those are suffering after the disaster.

 

The rituals of Rath Yatra and the spell bound cultural activities were well appreciated by the gathering crowds.
